Students may request additional accommodations during their time at Tulane as they encounter access barriers related to their disability that they may not have identified at the time of their initial application.
An Additional Accommodation Request can be submitted through the student's Goldman Center Portal, following the "Additional Accommodation Request" tab linked in the menu options on the left side of the student's portal screen. There, students can complete a supplemental online request form asking for additional context about the access barrier the student is encountering in the academic, housing, or dining environments. In this process:
- Additional supporting documentation may be required
- An additional Access Interview may be required
Students who submit a request for Additional Accommodations should monitor their email for pertinent communication specific to their request. Requests submitted through this process must also adhere to the priority application deadlines.
***Students in the School of Law may need to email goldman@tulane.edu directly to submit your request for additional/modifications to your existing accommodations.
Additional Accommodation Request: Academic Support
Students can make adjustments to their existing approval in the academic domain. If their current documentation does not support additional accommodations or provide context about the newly identified barrier, additional documentation may be requested.
Additional Accommodation Request: Housing & Dining Support
Students with existing academic accommodations may submit a new request for housing or dining support through this process; documentation for support in the housing and dining domains should be specific to the impact of a student's functional limitations in these environments.
