Internal Disability Discrimination Complaint
Tulane University is committed to providing a prompt, equitable, and impartial resolution of grievances alleging disability-based discrimination or harassment prohibited under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
These grievance procedures apply to complaints from students, faculty, staff, applicants, vendors, contractors, and third parties regarding disability discrimination within University employment, academic, admissions, programs, or activities.
To file a grievance, individuals should follow the procedures outlined by Tulane University’s Equal Opportunity & Resolution Management team for Reporting and Investigating Concerns. This team manages complaints related to disability discrimination as well as other protected categories.
External Disability Discrimination Complaint
An individual may also file a disability-based complaint with the appropriate external federal, state, or local agency within the time frame required by law. These complaints should be filed with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the U.S. Department of Education.
